About Our Client
Our client is a respected private equity fund with origins in London and New York. They have completed over USD500m of deals in China in the last 2 years, the majority of which are in the debt markets - typically convertible bonds and mezzanine financing. Due to continued deal flow they require an experienced associate to join a small but competent team.
Job Description
Reporting to the Executive Director you will take full responsibility for China deal execution and provide support on deal sourcing and review.
?Work with international teams to execute debt driven deals for HK listed Chinese groups
?Keep abreast of developments in Asia DCM
?Structure, execute and manage deals in a very hands-on manner
?Lead a small analyst team and support function
?Build network and relationships across China market.
The Successful Application
To qualify you will:
?Have first class academic credentials in finance/economics, most likely with advanced degree from internationally recognized school.
?Have 6-8 years professional experience with at least 3 years in Debt capital markets.
?Have experience in either PE or IB
?Be a self starter and able to lead and take initiative yourself. This is a small and independent team, not a mega-bank.
?Be creative, confident and fun
?Native Mandarin and first class English skills essential
